Joan Dellarte Obituary
Joan C. Dellarte, 92, of Exeter, formerly of Wyoming, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Highland Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation, Exeter.
Joan was born in Forest City to the late Leon and Charlotte Puchaty Galavitz.
She graduated from Wyoming High School in 1949. She went on to become a mill worker at Duplan Silk Corporation, Kingston. Joan was a member of the Fox Hill "Hole In One Club."
Joan was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Dellarte, in 2017.
Joan is survived by her sons, Paul Dellarte and partner, Lisa Burick, Kingston; Robert and wife, Marlene Dellarte, Larksville; grandchildren, Myles, Leanne and Nina Dellarte; and several nieces and nephews living country-wide.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Corpus Christi Parish, 605 Luzerne Ave., West Pittston.
Relatives and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Metcalfe Shaver Kopcza Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
Interment will follow Mass in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
Joan's family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Highland Manor for the loving care and friendship extended to Joan and her family throughout the years she spent there.
