Joan L Konnick, 85, of Kingston, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 11, 2023.
Joan was born in Kingston, the daughter of the late Anne and Zigmund Leshinski. She was a graduate of Kingston High School and was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville.
Joan was the loving wife of the late Robert Konnick Sr., and was predeceased by her late children, Joan Janoski and Robert Konnick Jr.; and brother, Jim Leshinski.
She leaves behind her loving family, including Mary Ermak, Susan Musto, Catherine (Kurt) Manganella and Michael (Cindi) Konnick; and sister, Anne (Larry) Styczen. Joan adored all of her 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She would beam with happiness and pride when visiting or hearing about their lives.
Joan worked for Bell Telephone, Wyoming Valley West School District, Konefal's Restaurant, ran bingo at the former St Mary's Byzantine Church, Kingston, and was active during local elections. She was also very involved with her children's activities as a PTA president, Girl Scout leader and coach.
She always had her door open to those who needed a place to rest or a bite to eat. The simplest pleasures brought so much joy to Joan who loved sewing, gardening, hosting gatherings and cooking for everyone. She was considered by many to be the absolute best pierogi maker.
Friends may call from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston. Funeral services will be privately held at the convenience of the family.

We had an old fashion grocery store by us on the corner on Main and Rice in Edwardsville. His first name was Andrew(Andy). I wonder if they were related through marriage since the funeral home is Kopicki.
