John Robert "Jack" Donahue II, 28, of Dupont, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021, in St. Luke's Medical Center, Allentown.
He was born Oct. 26, 1992, and was the son of John "Jack" R. Donahue and Bobbi J. Matthews Donahue.
John was a 2011 graduate of Pittston Area High School and Wilkes-Barre Vocational Technical School. He was a certified electrician. He worked for the Letica Corporation and Maui Cup, Pittston Twp.
John loved the outdoors; he enjoyed canoeing, fishing and riding his ATV. He was mechanically inclined and very talented with all things mechanical. He enjoyed working on cars and ATVs.
Jack was a very generous and kind person who was always willing to help out at any time when needed. He loved his family, friends and his dog and enjoyed spending time with them when he could; he had a wonderful sense of humor and could always make you laugh.
He filled our hearts with his love, generosity and humor. He will be forever deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, David, Bartonsville; his maternal grandfather, Warren Matthews, Bartonsville; his paternal grandmother, Jennifer (Koza) Donahue, Dupont; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Gail Elizabeth Martin; and his paternal grandfather John "Jack" Donahue.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Queen of the Apostles Parish Church, 715 Hawthorne St., Avoca, with the Rev. Phillip J. Sladicka officiating. Friends may call for visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass on Saturday.
Interment will take place at a later date.
