Karen Krolikowski, 74, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late Robert Wren Sr. and the late Jeanne Cronauer Wren. Karen was a graduate of GAR Memorial High School; she was also a graduate of the Wilkes-Barre Business College. She was formerly employed at the A. Rifkin Company, Hanover Twp.
She was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Long; and by a brother, Richard Wren; by a sister, Diana Wren; and by her dogs who she dearly loved, Buddy and Halo.
Karen is survived by her husband of 42 years, Walter Krolikowski; son, Robert Long and his wife, Bonnie, Wilkes-Barre; by several grandchildren, including Brandon Long and Brianna Spielmann; and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, John Wren (Sharyn), Florida; Robert Wren and his wife, Ruthie, Wilkes-Barre; sisters, Betty Jean Sincavage, Wilkes-Barre; Debbie Gibson, Swoyersville; Shirley Kogoy, Wilkes-Barre; and Tina Tkach, Larksville; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extent a special thank you their dear friend, Jeff Schnars, for his devoted care and assistance during these trying time. They would also like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice of the Sacred Heart and a special thank you to the Rev. Richard Cirba.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Karen's life from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday from Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre. A blessing service will be held at 7 p.m. The Rev. Richard Cirba will officiate. Private interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
