Marion Jakubczyk, 76, of Plains Twp., passed away Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Avoca, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Lottie Mazur Dudek, of Avoca.
Marion was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Parish Church, Plains Twp. She graduated from Duryea High School and Empire Beauty School and obtained her managers license.
Marion enjoyed spending time with her loving husband of 45 years, Louis Jakubczyk, she enjoyed going out for dinner, coffee and rides with her husband and her sister and also enjoyed camping with her family, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Dudek, who died April 1, 2021.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sister, Diane and husband, Thomas Molitoris, Duryea; a sister-in-law, Theresa Dudek, Exeter; and brother-in-law, Richard Jakubczyk, Swoyersville. Also surviving are nephews, John and Tamara Dudek and Kevin and Kelly Dudek, Suscon; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Peter and Paul Parish Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains Twp., with The Rev. John C. Lambert officiating. Interment will be held in Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Avoca.
