Their favorite, most memorable trip was to Italy in 2012 with their family to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.

Marty and I worked side-by-side for at least fourteen years, and there is absolutely no doubt he saved my life at least three times, beginning on my first week on the job. In addition to being a skillful firefighter-EMT and emergency vehicle operator, he was one of the finest coworkers and friends I knew. Dear Scott, Erin, and family, deep peace, an love. I never heard Marty brag, but he did many laudable things for many people. I'll be forever grateful to him. Big hugs to you all. Rob
