Michael Louis Cups, 59, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at his private residence.
Born Oct. 20,1963, in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Donald J. and Mary Alice Reinard Cups. He grew up in the Parsons section of the city where he attended local schools. He was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Class of 1981.
Michael worked as a warehouse laborer for over 30 years until his retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading, listening to music, watching television and enjoying old shows and sporting events. He was a pet lover and his faithful cat was always by his side.
Michael is joined in heaven, in addition to his parents, by his sister, Karen McDermott.
Surviving to mourn his passing are his brother, Richard and his wife, Annie, Phoenix, Ariz.; sister, Diane Wascavage and her husband, Paul, Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre; sister, Barbara Coffay, Wilkes-Barre; brother, Donald and his wife, Heather, Mesa, Ariz.; and nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Family and friends are invited to his blessing service to be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Cemetery, Main Chapel, 1594 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre.
The service will be officiated by Deacon Donald Crane. Interment will follow.
Services are in the care of Yanaitis Funeral Home Inc., Plains Twp.
