Michael Donald Jacobsen, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, in Port Allen, La.
He was born March 24, 1976, in Brooklyn, N.Y., a son of the late Raymond and Alice Preston Jacobsen. He was a graduate of Coughlin High School and received an associate degree from Johnson College. He was employed as a bartender in many local establishments as well as working for Sherman Williams Paint. Most recently, he was employed as a manager for Silver Springs Casino, Baton Rouge, La.
Michael enjoyed detailing miniature medieval figures and chess pieces, cooking, reading, gardening and was the editor of his blog, The Uncensored Truth.
His brother, Mark Jacobsen, passed away Sept. 2, 2022.
Surviving are his maternal grandmother, Ida Preston, Bay St. Louis, Mo.; uncles, Timothy Preston, Bay St. Louis, Mo.; and Melvin Jacobsen, Eunice, Calif.; aunt, Donna Zimmerman, Luzerne; niece, Virginia; nephew, Eddie; and cousins, Kimberly, Matthew, Christine, Paula, Samantha and Yvonne.
A memorial service for Michael and his brother, Mark, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday from E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre. Services will be conducted by the Rev. James Quinn, pastor of Bennett Presbyterian Church, Luzerne. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to service time.
