Mildred Mravcak

Millie Kowatz Mravcak, 93, formerly of Helen Street, Plains Township, passed away Sunday evening at United Methodist Homes, Wesley Village, where she had been a guest for the last five years.

Born in Plymouth, she was a daughter of the late Valentine and Mary Musial Kowatz. She was educated in Plymouth schools. After her marriage, she moved to Plains Township. She was employed by Atwater Throwing Co., Plymouth, for 30 years.

She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Church, where she was a member of its Altar and Rosary Society and Quilting Club. She also was a member of the Plains Senior Citizens and worked at the election polls for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1975. She was also preceded in death by several sisters and a brother.

She is survived by her stepsons, Ted Mravcak and his wife, Nancy, New Jersey; Joseph and his wife, Pat, Wilkes-Barre; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from Michael J. Mikelski Funeral Home, 293 S. River St., Plains Township. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in Ss. Peter and Paul Church, Plains Township. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Plains Township. Friends may call Tuesday, 4 to 7 p.m.
