Monica Coach Obituary

Monica J. Coach, 87, of West Fourth Street, Bloomsburg, and formerly of Frederick Street, Kingston, passed away at home Tuesday. She was under the care of Columbia Montour Home Hospice since being diagnosed with ovarian cancer in mid-December.

A life resident of Kingston before relocating to Bloomsburg in January 2007, Monica was born on May 13, 1920, the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Miskiel, Kingston.

She was a life parishioner of the former St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, Zerbey Avenue, Kingston.

Monica was predeceased by her husband, Peter Coach, on Dec. 26, 2006, following 67 years of marriage; and a sister, Agnes Milunich (husband, Michael), Harveys Lake.

She is survived by a sister, Barbara Rees (late husband, A. MacDonald Rees), Berlin Md.

Monica has two children, daughter, Pamela (Mrs. Gary Sinnott), Bloomsburg, with whom she resided; and son, Daryl Coach, (wife, Margaret) Seaville, N.J.

She is also survived by four grandchildren, Lt. Col. Dale Sinnott, USAF, Harker Heights, Texas; Tina Sinnott Tarvin, New Tripoli; and Peter and David Coach, Seaville, N.J. There are five great-grandchildren, Steven, Taylor and Sydnee Sinnott, Harker Heights, Texas; and twins, Molly and Kelty Tarvin New Tripoli.

Monica was a graduate of Kingston High School and Wilkes-Barre Business College. She was employed as an insurance account specialist by Thompson-Derr Insurance Agency, F.E. Parkhurst Insurance Co. and Carey and Marshall Insurance Agency, prior to her retirement in 1972.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. John C. Lapera on Friday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, Kingston.

Viewings will be held at Kopicki Funeral Home on Thursday, 5 to 7 p.m., and Friday, 8:30 to 9:15 a.m., prior to the Funeral Mass.

Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.

Donations in Monica's memory can be made to Columbia Montour Home Hospice, 410 Glenn Ave., Suite 200, Bloomsburg, PA 17815.
