Patricia L. Misson, of Dallas, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
Born Nov. 25, 1943, in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mabelle Parkinson Janick.
Patricia worked for many years at Prestige and Heavenly Shoe Companies and later retired after 30 years with the Dallas Area School District.
She loved her children and grandchildren, they were her life. She enjoyed watching horror movies with her grandchildren and her favorite shows, "Chicago Fire," "Homestead Rescue," "Naked and Afraid" and "Swamp People." Pat also loved late night rides for a coffee with her children and listening to country, doo-wop and Pennsylvania polkas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Misson, in 1979; brothers, Carl Esser and William Esser Jr.; and sisters, Carol Ann DeChaine and Rosemary Esser.
Surviving are her fiancé, Barry Misson; son, James A. Misson and his wife, Lori, Dallas; daughter, Lee Ann Wesolowski and her husband, Mark, Larksville; grandchildren, Ashley, Ryan, Shawn and Tessy and her husband, Jeff; great-granddaughter, Kinsley; brother, Anthony Janick and his wife, Diane, Wilkes-Barre; sister, Celeste Stallman, Wilkes-Barre; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 N. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will follow in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Carverton. Family and friends may call from 9 a.m. to service time.
Patricia's family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Geisinger Wyoming Valley ICU for their dedication and compassionate care.
