Richard R. "Rich" Weaver, 58, of Lehman Twp. and life resident of the Back Mountain area, was taken home to the Lord on Saturday, June 5, 2021.
Born Sept. 5, 1962, in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late James L. and Betty L. Hubbel Weaver.
Rich enjoyed the simple things in life and liked watching westerns, gardening and camping. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
In addition to his parents, Rich was preceded in death by his daughter, Ashley Weaver; a sister, Janice Hartman; and a brother, Ronald Weaver.
Surviving are his companion of 23 years, Patty Ann Weaver; children, Jeremy Hules; Gena Weaver; Becky Weaver; and Britney Weaver; 11 grandchildren; siblings, Pearl Minneo; Barbara Baker and husband, James; Helen Weaver; Betty Spencer; James Weaver; and Patricia Williams and husband, Albert; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday from Clarke Piatt Funeral Home Inc., 6 Sunset Lake Road, Hunlock Creek, with Pastor Douglas Beach, assistant pastor of House of Prayer Christian Ministries, Nanticoke, officiating.
Interment will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Hunlock Twp.
Viewing and visitation hours will be from 11 a.m. to service time Friday at the funeral home.
