Robert Davis Obituary
Born in Plains Township, he was the son of Robert and Dorothy Haskell Davis of Wilkes-Barre.
Robbie was an eighth-grade student at Solomon/Plains Memorial Junior High School. He was a member of the Wilkes-Barre Bears mini-football team, playing position of running back and wide-receiver. He was also a member of the Plains Little League Phillies and Braves baseball teams, where he was a pitcher and outfielder.
He enjoyed listening to his favorite music, video games and playing with his dogs.
Robbie was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Robert Davis; maternal grandfather, Harry Haskell; maternal step-grandfather, Con Ward and maternal grandmother, Madeline Frederis Ward.
Robbie is survived, in addition to his mom and dad, by sisters, Carrie Davis and Elizabeth Davis, both at home; paternal grandmother, Linda Davis, Dupont; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Robbie's funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. from Mark V. Yanaitis Funeral Home, 55 Stark St., with the Rev. Walter Carter, pastor of First United Methodist Church, Ephrata, officiating. Friends may call Tuesday, 4 p.m. to the time of services. Interment will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.
His family requests memorial donations be given to the SPCA of Luzerne County, 524 E. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702; or Plains Little League.

Robert Davis was my late uncle that I had never met. He died 1 year before I was born. I would always read those remembrance posters on my grandmother's walls. Rest in peace Uncle Robby.

When I heard about this, I almost cried. I didn't know this boy, but I can tell that he was a great guy,and I feel so sad about this. One can only imagine the pain of losing a child, especially one so exceptional. My heart goes out to all of you that lost this boy, and were lucky enough to know him. Just know that the good Lord is taking care of him, and someday, you will be with him again. Even though I didn't know Robert, the pain cuts me deeper everyday to imagine how it must feel to lose him. I, myself, am an 8th grade student. I cry whenever I think about this. Stay strong, and have faith. Even though that empty feeling and pain won't ever go away, just know that he is now watching over you.

We can't really put into words how we feel for you and your family...All we know is that whenever Robert was playing over here in front of our house, there was never a dull moment. He made all of the kick ball games more interesting, that's for sure. This is a picture of him with some of the kids he hung out with when he was here. We live on Railroad St. in Parsons. He also went to school with my son Alex who is also in 8th grade at Solomon. We also have twins Katie & Emily, but Katie is the only one pictured....Emily looks just like her. We'll all miss Robert...I told my kids that God must have needed another angel to watch over all of us here...Hope the picture makes you smile......

I remember when I 1st met Rob Rob! I was chilling down at the park in he came up to me and asked me if I was new?!
