Robert Harvey Obituary
Robert E. Harvey III , also known as "Bobby Light," of Pittston, died unexpectedly Sunday morning, Aug. 29, 2021, at his home.
Born in Virginia Beach, Va., son of Stacey Goodall, of Pittston, and Robert E. Harvey Jr., of Scranton, he was a 2008 graduate of Wyoming Area High School. He received his license as an esthetician from Jolie Health and Beauty Academy and his microblading from the Exclusive Beauty Institute. He was currently employed by Sapphire Salon, Pittston. He absolutely adored his boss, Angie, who said best that Bobby's ultimate specialty was his clients' experience with him. He adored his cats. They were his babies and simply meant the world to him. He also loved to enjoy a great cheeseburger!
The star of every party, Bobby Light was known by many for his vibrant personality and fun-loving ways. You may have also known him by Ella Fine, the Joe Dirt of Drag, Bambi or the Billy Porter of NEPA! No matter the name, one thing's for sure, he was an inspiration to many and served as an uplifting influence to others who needed to understand that it is acceptable to be true to one's self.
Bobby had this rare light that was bigger than this life. With that light, he brought out beauty in others and dispelled the darkness for the family and friends he so genuinely loved. In magical moments and in cloaks of darkness: dance, sing, be you, be brave, love. Take your light and share it with the world. Shine it. Bobby wanted us to literally Be Light.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a sister, Ashley Harvey and partner, Charles Kizis, West Pittston; a nephew, Gavin Hess; a niece, Adelyn Kizis; his "other mother," Estella Sweet, Wilkes-Barre; his paternal grandfather, William Howe, Scranton; aunts, uncles, cousins; and many friends.
Visitation will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Ferri & Gillette Funeral Services LLC, 522 Fallon St., Old Forge. Additionally, a celebration of life will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Heat Bar & Night Club, 69-71 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre.
