Robert Kunec Obituary
Born in Plains Township, he was the son of the late Peter and Victoria Novakovsky Kunec.
He was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Plains Township, and King's College, Wilkes-Barre. He received his law degree from Toledo University, Toledo, Ohio.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Church of the Catholic Community of North End, Wilkes-Barre, the Luzerne County Bar Association and the Wyoming Valley Country Club.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph; infant brothers, Peter, Andrew and Albert; sister, Alberta Borkowski.
Surviving are sisters, Mary Morris, Acworth, Ga.; Margaret Plumlee and her husband, Robert, Tulsa, Okla.; Helen Krubitzer and her husband, Carl, Plains Township; brothers, John, Rockville, Md.; Edward and his wife, Marie, Falls Church, Va.; Dr. Peter and his wife, Ingrid, McLean, Va.; Thomas, Plains Township; sister-in-law, Ethel Kunec, Dallas; brother-in-law, Dr. Raymond Borkowski, Laflin; several nephews and nieces.
The funeral will be held Monday at 9:30 from Corcoran Funeral Home, 20 S. Main St., Plains Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in Sacred Heart Church, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Dallas.
Friends may call Sunday, 5 to 8 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Church, 601 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.

I'm sorry I was unable to attend Bob's wake.I have known him for many years and he was always a gentleman and good person. I will remember him for his kind, quiet demeanor and his same approach to the practice of law.

We were so sorry to hear about Bob's untimely passing. My mother (Margaret Kunec Plumlee) and father (Bob Plumlee) as well as my husband & I (Norene Plumlee Rauch & Bill Rauch) wish we could be there with the family at this time. However, you are and will continue to be in our prayers.

dearest sympathy, regarding our friend Bob, he was a great guy, and a good attorney., he will sadly be missed, he was so kind @ times to even offer some of his services and opinions free of charge, that was the kindnest in him, he was a friend of ours for many years, god bless the family, and Robert, our prayers are with him @ this time of sorrow.
