Robert J. Licina Jr., 66, of Nescopeck Twp., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024, at his home.
Born in North Braddock, Feb. 14, 1958, he was the son of the late Robert J. Licina Sr. and Jean Stevenson Rich. He was a graduate of General Braddock High School in Braddock, in 1976. Robert proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1976 to 1978. After an honorable discharge he earned his bachelor's degree in nursing and worked as a registered nurse working at Baldock Nursing Home, North Huntingdon, for many years.
Robert was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time at the shooting range. If he wasn't outdoors, he would be working on DIY projects around the house. He was a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Robert was a lifelong member of the U.S. Conservative Veterans Association and was a part of the 117 Luzerne County Republican Committee.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Vivian E. Miller Kreidler-Licina, with whom he spent 22 years; daughters, Sharon Decker, Edwardsville; Christina Meszaros and husband, Joseph, Larksville; Kimberly McDonald and husband, Kyon, Plymouth; sons, Mark Licina and wife, Ashley, Jenkins Twp; James Kreidler and fiancée, Cass Bailey, Nescopeck; Edward Kreidler, Larksville; and Joshua Kreidler, Larksville; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and looking forward to the birth of another early this summer; sisters, Roberta Licina, Westmoreland; and Marirose Watt, Pittsburgh; brother, Paul Rich, South Carolina; 11 nieces and nephews; and 12 great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Stephenson.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Heller Funeral Home LLC, 633 E. Third St., Nescopeck, immediately followed by a memorial service.
