Our beloved Roger Allan Sadowski Sr., 77, died Saturday, July 22, 2023, peacefully at his home in Mountain Top with his family by his side.
Roger was born Jan. 7, 1946, to the late John and Stella Sadowski.
Roger "peanut" married Andrea Madaj-Sadowski "monkey face" on Nov. 26, 1966, and had been married for 56 years but together for 60 years. The two were each other's lifelong companions and soulmates. They were blessed with two children: Lisa and Roger Jr.
Roger was retired from Fairchild Semi-Conductor in Mountain Top and belonged to St. John Lutheran Church in Nanticoke. Roger enjoyed sitting in his garage watching nature and sharing memories with his wife, daughter and son. He enjoyed being in his yard and getting an extra-large twist cone at the crick with his wife. He enjoyed going fishing with his son. He enjoyed quality time with his daughter on her back porch under the big tree. Pop-Pop enjoyed many activities, including playing in the pool, snake hunting, playing 12 point basketball and BB gun shooting with his granddaughters. Pop-Pop loved supporting them at their sporting events when they were younger with his blow horn. Roger's hobbies included gardening and pool maintenance.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, John and Stella Sadowski; and many sisters and brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Andrea Madaj-Sadowski, Mountain Top; two children, Roger Sadowski Jr., Nanticoke; Lisa Sadowski-Kalinowski, Nanticoke; son-in-law, James Kalinowski; two granddaughters, Savanna Kalinowski, Jacksonville, N.C.; and Amber Kalinowski, Nanticoke; a sister; nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; and his beloved dog, Kali.
Roger will be remembered for all that he has done for his family and friends. We hope you are running in a field with Ralpher, Rosie, Sadie, Peaches, Monkey and Liskers. "I love you to the moon and back. Forever and Always."
In keeping with Roger's wishes, there will be no formal funeral services.
Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Earl W. Lohman Funeral Home Inc., 14 W. Green St., Nanticoke.
