Russell Mountjoy Obituary

Russell Mountjoy, 72, of Bethlehem Township passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at his home.

Russell was born in Kingston, a son of the late Charles and Lulu Leonard Mountjoy.

Russell was married to the former Barbara Faye Heacock, with whom he would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this October.

He was a regional manager for automotive service centers for Kmart, and later worked part-time for the city of Easton in the recycling center. He retired from the U.S. Navy after serving 20 years.

In addition to his wife, Russell is survived by his daughters, Robyn Lee Mountjoy and husband, Thomas Bartholomew, Easton; and Renee Lynn Schwartz and husband, Chris, Farmington, N.J.; son, Russell Mountjoy Jr.; sisters, Lois Joyce and Ruth Wilkinson; brothers, John and Ed Mountjoy; and grandchildren, Rynn, Randy, TJ and Katelyn.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Nestor, and a brother, Charles Mountjoy.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and also from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday in Morello Funeral Home Inc., 3720 Nicholas St., Easton (Palmer Township), followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine, Palmer Township.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Russell's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, Lehigh Valley Unit, 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem, PA 18017, or to the American Diabetes Association, 1160 Route 22 East, Suite 103, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.

Russ's family,
