Scott Knox Obituary

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Scott "SK 31" Knox from the Heights section of Wilkes-Barre. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend. Scott left an indelible mark on the lives of everyone he touched, and his memory will be cherished forever.

Scott was a graduate of GAR Memorial High School in Wilkes-Barre (2009), and went on to attend Luzerne County Community College in Nanticoke. He later graduated from Fortis in Forty Fort, and became a licensed electrician. Scott previously worked for Linde and General Nutrition Center (GNC).

Scott was a sports enthusiast and an accomplished athlete, excelling in football, basketball and baseball. He played in numerous softball leagues, including the Heights boys' team, with whom he won multiple state championships and tournaments.

Scott is survived by his loving mother, Linda Ann Knox, Wilkes-Barre; and brothers, Shawn Maiers Sr., Wilkes-Barre; Corey Knox Jr. and Pamela, Edwardsville; and Eric Knox, Duryea.

He was preceded in death by his father, Corey Knox Sr.; grandparents, Edward Knox Sr. and Ruth Knox; and Eugene Maiers Sr. and Joanie Maiers.

Scott's love for his nieces and nephews was unmatched, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on through the countless lives he touched, the hearts he warmed and the moments he shared with us.

Scott passed away surrounded by his loving family at his bedside Tuesday, May 7, 2024.
