Theodore Voyack Obituary
Born in Duryea on July 9, 1929, he was raised by his beloved grandmother, the late Catherine (Blicharz) Voyack. He was a graduate of Duryea High School and attended Keystone College in LaPlume.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in Alaska.
He was a member of the former Ss. Peter and Paul Church, where he served as an Usher and all-around volunteer. Ted was also a member of the Avoca Community Choir, Avoca Jolly Boys, Avoca Veterans of Foreign Wars, and served as an assistant Boy Scout leader.
He loved Mother Angelica and spending time with his grandchildren.
Prior to retiring, he was employed as a quality control inspector by General Dynamics Corp., Eynon. He was previously employed by the Chrysler defense plant as a machinist. He was the design engineer and prototype inspector for the suspension system in the Abrams tank.
Ted was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Spindler; brothers, Francis and John Voyack; and sisters, Laura Melioris and Marie Roginsky.
Surviving are his sons, Dr. Michael Voyack (wife Catherine), Moorestown, N.J.; and David Voyack, New Cumberland; daughter, Judith Voyack-Brickey (husband Robert Lee), Wellsville; four grandchildren; sisters, Helen Zatorsky, Romaine Lynott and Marion Edmondson, all of Scranton; Margaret Muldoon, Texas; and Christine Golden, Throop; brother, Carl Spindler Jr., Archbald; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Queen of the Apostles Church, 715 Hawthorne St., Avoca, with the Rev. Phillip J. Sladicka officiating. Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kniffen O'Malley Leffler Funeral & Cremation Services Inc., 728 Main St., Avoca.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the EWTN Global Catholic Television Network, 5817 Old Leeds Road, Irondale, AL 35210, 205-271-2900. He also respectfully requests that everyone help make America Great Again by voting for Donald Trump for president. He avidly looked forward to casting his vote in November.
