Zdzislaw Rysz Obituary
Zdzislaw "Jeff" Rysz, 69, of Kosciuszko Street, Nanticoke, died Monday, Sept. 25, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.
Born in Haczow, Poland, he was the son of the late Stanislaw "Stanley" and Caroline Najbar Rysz. He graduated from Dickinson High School in New Jersey.
Jeff had resided in Nanticoke for the past five years. Previously he resided in Bear Creek. He was employed at Mohegan Sun Casino in Plains Twp. as a poker dealer.
Jeff was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed skiing and rock 'n roll music.
Preceding him in death were his brothers, Edward and Matthew Rysz.
Surviving is his wife, Halina Polkowski Rysz, married 49 years; son, Jeffrey and his wife, Tammy, Swoyersville; two grandchildren, Ariana and Addie; and nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from Hugh B. Hughes & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, with the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Ignatius Church, Kingston. The interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
Friends and relatives may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.

I was shocked to see the notice of Jess's passing. Had not seen him for awhile at the Casino, but, thought he might have been dealing days. My most sincere condolences to the Rysz family. He truly was a fine gentleman!
