Alma Fechter

Alma Lee Fechter WAMEGO Alma Lee Fechter, 89, of rural Belvue, KS, passed away with her family by her side on Monday, August 4, 2014 at the Wamego City Hospital. Alma Lee was born March 4, 1925 in Havensville, KS the daughter of Charles L. and Eva (Gibson) Elder. She was united in marriage to Arthur Dean Fechter on January 6, 1943 in Alamo Gordo, NM. He survives of the home. Survivors also include her children: Charles Fechter (Rose) of Emporia, KS, Ronnie Fechter (Donna) and Harold Fechter (Connie) all of Belvue. She is also survived by four sisters: Verna, Tina, Charlene, Janice; 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 3 sisters, and a granddaughter. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014 at St. Bernard s Catholic Church of Wamego. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Fechter will lie in-state at Stewart Funeral Home of Wamego beginning at 1:00 p.m. Friday, with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. and family visitation until 8:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Wamego Hospital Foundation or to Vintage Park of Wamego, and may be left in care of Stewart Funeral Home, Wamego, P.O.
