BARBARA STIEFEL
1952 -2008
Barbara Stiefel, 55, passed away suddenly in Port Hueneme, California, on July 29, 2008.
Barbara was born on December 28, 1952, to Raymond and Margaret Kazlauskas in the Bronx, New York. Her family moved to Lakewood, California in 1953.
In 1976, Barbara married the love of her life, Steve Stiefel. They moved to Santa Maria in 1981. Barbara worked for the Orcutt Union School District for seventeen years, and also worked to keep a wonderful and loving home for Steve and their two children Maggie and Ryan.
Barbara was a woman who touched many lives. She has friends too numerous to count, and made new friends everywhere she went. Barbara loved animals, and took great care of every pet that entered her life. She loved to go shopping with Maggie, lunching with her best friend Diane, playing with her granddaughter, and being with her family. She and Steve took numerous cruises with her parents, their children, and their friends. They loved to vacation in Lake Tahoe and Las Vegas. Barbara had a generous heart, and a fun, dynamic spirit. Barbara could make a room light up just by being in it. She was funny, smart, amazing and beautiful.
Barbara will be dearly missed by her husband of thirty-two years, Steve Stiefel. Her daughter and son-in-law, Maggie and Jim Tatman of Paso Robles, and her son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Virginia Stiefel of San Diego will grieve this tremendous loss. She will be missed so much by her granddaughter Jenna Tatman, and her grandson Colin Stiefel. She is survived by her father, Raymond Kazlauskas, and sister and brother-in-law Pamela and Richard Freeman of Lakewood. She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will also miss the heart of their family.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Kazlauskas in November 2007.
