Donald Knudsen Obituary

Donald Wilbur Knudsen of Topeka passed away April 25, 2012. He was born November 11, 1928 the son of David and Helen (Hendrickson) Knudsen. After serving in the Army, Donald worked as a carpenter at Whelan s in Topeka for 30 years. He is preceded in death by his wife Rose E. Knudsen and sister Joyce Gray. His pastimes included hunting, fishing, and metal detecting. He was a silversmith and formally taught silversmith classes at Rice Community Center. Mr. Knudsen is survived by his children Rick (Lori) Knudsen of Silver Lake, Madalyn (John Schulz) Knudsen of Eudora, Jerri (Bill) Childs of Silver Lake, and brother Gene (Connie) Knudsen of Russell, grandchildren Derek Ogan, Emily Ogan, Andrea Norris, Katie Martens, Andy Knudsen, Zach Knudsen, Matthew Knudsen and great-grandchildren Paxton Willett and Ava Martens. Visitation will be held from 10-noon on Saturday April 28, 2012 at Davidson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to Rossville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
