Dorothy Robinson Obituary

Dorothy M. Robinson Dorothy M. Robinson, 88, of Topeka passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017. She was born March 19, 1929 in Long Beach, California to Marion and Marjorie Barber. Dorothy was raised at Howard, Kansas, graduating from high school there. She received her Kansas Teachers Certificate in 1947 from Kansas State University. She taught for several years at school district #112 in Elk County. While surviving raising five boys, Dorothy was able to complete her Bachelor s Degree in Education at Washburn University in 1972. She subsequently worked for the State of Kansas, Department of Education. George and Dorothy were members of both Westside Baptist Church and North Topeka Baptist Churches. They were both charter members of the Shawnee County Master Gardener s Club. In retirement, Dorothy and George enjoyed camping, family and spending many hours working in their yard and garden. She is survived by her sisters, Diane Hansen of Leawood, Kansas and Donna Pfeffer and husband Ron of Las Vegas, NV; sons, Randy Robinson and wife Nancy of Manhattan, Ron Robinson and wife Terry of Omaha, Nebraska, Gary Robinson and wife Joy of Topeka, Greg Robinson and wife Erin of Albuquerque, New Mexico; a sons, Randy (Nancy) Robinson of Manhattan, Ron (Terry) Robinson of Omaha, Nebraska, Gary (Joy) Robinson of Topeka, Greg (Erin) Robinson of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Dan (Sandra) Robinson of Chillicothe, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Monday, April 10th at Davidson Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow beginning at 2:00 pm.
