Eli Clark Obituary

Eli William Clark, age 16, of Overbrook, passed away at his home on Thursday, February 16, 2006. He was born July 23, 1989 in Lawrence, the son of Philip W. Clark and Mary D. (Zerbe) Clark. Eli was born and raised in the Lawrence area and attended Wakarusa Valley Grade School, South Jr. High and was a Junior at Lawrence High School. He played on many Douglas Co. amateur baseball teams and also played football at South Jr. High School. He was a member of the National Honor Roll in 2003 and 2004, Lawrence Honor Roll at South Jr. High School and student council at Wakarusa Valley Grade School and South Jr. High School. Survivors: parents, Philip W. Clark, Overbrook, and Mary Clark, Lawrence; brothers, Tom Clark, Clinton, and Emery Clark of the home; grandparents, Wayne and Darlene Clark, Paxico; grandmother, Marilyn Zerbe, Auburn. Funeral service: 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, Lawrence. Burial at Bethlehem Cemetery, Paxico. Eli will lie in state from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial to be designated at a later time, in care of the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
