My sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Emery Fager. I met Mr. Fager in the late 1990s, when I approached him through his role with Topeka Habitat for Humanity to build new homes in the Tennessee Town neighborhood. Mr. Fager was open to those discussions, which led to multiple Habitat homes being constructed. His commitment was one of the lynch pins of completely turning around the neighborhood's worst block. His contributions to Topeka through CoreFirst Bank and Habitat are innumerable and greatly appreciated. He made Topeka a better place to live.

To the Fager family, I want you to know what a great person Emery Fager was. He is the one who helped closed on my Habitat House many years ago when Commerce Bank did the financing on them. I had the oppertunity to Mr. Fager he was a very nice and humble guy. I am sure he will be missed by the community for all his good work along with all the family members. May he rest in peace.
