I did not know Mr. Landis, personally, but I am a friend of his son, Karl. If Karl is anything like his father, then he surely was a great man. The Lord puts people like Mr. Landis, and Karl, in places where they will serve him best - by example; and we who find ourselves in their company, are the better for it.

My sincere condolenses to Mr. Landis' family. I remember him from the North Topeka Baptist Church. A very kind man and he made a great christian impression on me. I believe he was with the group of us (with pastor Al and Edie Lambert) who went to the Hopi Indian Reservation is Pollaca Arizona in 1961. May he rest in peace and be in the arms of our Loving Lord Jesus Christ now. May God comfort you all. My parents were Fern and Lark McCoy. I am their oldest child. My name at that time was Donna Jean Wilson.
