Herbert Rutkin Obituary

RUTKIN, HERBERT L. (BUD) March 7, 1926 February 3, 2014 Bud Rutkin lived a full life as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. He moved to Miami with his wife, Lois Rutkin and children in 1954. He and his adored wife, Lois were married for 57 years. Lois passed away in 2005. Bud also survived his precious daughter Cheryl's passing in 2006. He is survived by his loving family; his son, Michael Rutkin, daughter in law, Catherine, his son Mark Rutkin, daughter in law, Gladis, his daughter Cheryl's husband, Steve Roy and daughter, Cynthia Rutkin Lederer, and son-in-law Les Lederer from Los Angeles. He is also survived by many grandchildren, Lisa, Carri, Catie, Michael, Jason, Ryan, and Kristi Rutkin, Sofia Henriquez, Kimi and Vasso Chronis, Nicole and Guy Martindale, Matt Roy, Brandi and Jordan Geller, Branden and Rayni Williams and Brick Williams. Bud has five great grandchildren Caroline and Amanda Geller, Branden Martindale, Rylee and Niko Chronis. Bob, his brother, and Dorothy Rutkin reside in Agoura Hills, California and his only cousin Mitzi Jacobs resides in Detroit and Boynton Beach. Bud was the patriarch of a very close family. His family is his legacy and according to him his greatest accomplishment. He was kind, loving, generous and inspiring to all who knew him. Bud lived a happy life and loved to celebrate any and every occasion with his family. He and Lois loved listening and dancing to Frank Sinatra. He was a great conversationalist and had a terrific sense of humor. He was always filled with joy, laughter and loved to have fun. Although Bud is gone, he will forever remain in our hearts and minds. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 8th from 12-2PM and the funeral will begin at 2PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 2401 SW 64th Avenue, Davie, Florida 33317.
