Daddy I miss you so much. You are my reason for being a person who loves people and who loves making new friends. I know no strangers, because you taught me to talk and say hi to everyone. I love you mucho, much, mucho, my Daddy!
I cant wait for my kiss on my forehead. Give hugs to everyone and kiss my dogs for me. Adios Papa!

Dad, today I hold a heavy heart. I think of you often, and as I sit at my computer at work I am surrounded of your presence by my sign in screen, and the photos of you. I can not believe that it is nearing your one year of death. I never thought that I would have to be signing your guest book almost 11 months later. I miss your kisses on my forehead and I miss you always telling me to drive safe. I got in a fender bender last week and all I could her is you say "pendeja you should learn to drive on the ice". Oh, how I wish I could hear your voice again and again. I have the last video of when you were at the VA and I do watch it. It brings so much love to my heart but also pain. I will be getting married in six months and even though I will have my two wonderful Godfather's walk me down the isle I still want you to do the honors. I know you will be there in spirit, but it will still not be the same. As time has eased the pain and I have Dale in my life, I still want you to know I will always be your girl. I will always be your black girl, or your colored gal, and you will always be my "Papa", my "negro please" and my "Fred Sanford", but most of all you will always be in my heart and my "DADDY". I am just missing you and needed to write this down. I love you Daddy. I always have and always will.

Mr. Zarazua,as I grew up as a child knowing Him,then later,Johnny, was the most spectacular Mexican Man I knew on so many levels. Johnny had a warm demeanor,a very generous heart as that He took my Mom,Mary Rocha,as He always called her,ANYWHERE she needed to go,and there aren't too many men out there today that look after their buddy's widows like this anymore, which is what made Johnny so spectacular. Johnny was a main fixture of 3rd & Lake;He WAS East Topeka. I was so honored to really enjoy His humor, kindness and Wisdom this past year. My biggest regret is I never played my guitar nor sang for Johnny, like He requested, since He knew my Dad's talents in music perfectly. Thanks for allowing Your Dad into our lives,Zarazua Kids. I really am in awe at the true love Y'all have for Your Dad. You took excellent care of Johnny; present-day kids, take note. God Bless You All. Praying for you.

Dad, you will forever be in my heart and in my soul. I have always been a daddy's girl and it makes my stomach ache to know I will never receive a kiss from you or a pinch. I want to tell you daddy that I was so blessed to have lived with you for the last two years. I knew that one day you would leave me. I just didn't realize it would be so soon. I I'm numb, heartbroken and very angry. I'm glad we had our wonderful love that only a daddy and his color gal could have. You are my daddy, my papa John, my hero, my life and I miss you so much.

Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your loved ones at this time. I have and always will cherish the memories of all the years growing up with you and your dad Roger. From our baseball years, his taxi years, talking to him and my dad about their Military Airborne years which they were both so proud of, to just every day conversations we had with each other keeping up on events in each of our lives.
I know your dad loved life, because he loved his family.
I'll miss him at the ball parks, but I know him and dad will still be watching me umpire & hollering that I missed that call.

Hang on to your memories, I know I will.

To the family of JZ. Your dad will be missed by many...we just saw him not too long ago take that ride by the church down Chandler Street. As usual, he smiled and waived as he drove by. He was not a stranger to Chandler Street and gave many a ride when needed during his taxi days. He was a kind soul who has left his mark on this earth. Find comfort knowing he is in paradise with his family that have gone before him. Let your tears be of joy...your dad had many friends that will also miss his prensence.

I can see that the ballpark in the Oakland area of heaven filled with his friends who have now welcomed him. The game is own...JZ is here.

Take care ol' friend...say hello to

Grandpa was the sweetest man, He was a strong man & most of all a Fighter.. This man would give the shirt on his back to help others... You can always catch him at events & see a Happy man... It was very hard for me to see you take your last breath but I knew you were surrering & I understand that you were being called home... We don't always understand why things happen to people but we need to cherish the times that we had with those people..
