Uncle Butch was sweet & gentle like my Mom - you could tell they were siblings. Uncle Butch & Aunt Lavon
travelled to Germany & visited Great-Grandmother Gippner's hometown of Igersheim. I have copies of
the pics he took in her town & will always be grateful to him for them. They will be passed down through
the family. Love you Uncle Butch & will miss you. Ginny Wessling

Oh what a home coming there is in Heaven. His brother and sisters have all come to greet him. I can feel the love in my heart, feel their laughter in my belly, their tears of joy cloud my eyes and there is a little do si doin in my step. He is home. Such an amazing man that so many of us are blessed to call our uncle. He gave love so easily and openly. He was always genuinely happy to see you and it showed. His hug was strong and caring. His smile lit up the room. I loved listening to his stories and he had a bunch. He will be missed greatly by many. Aunt Vonnie, Chisti, Cyndi, Caroline and Carrie our love and prayers are with each of you. Hugs

Dear Aunt Lavon & Family:
Rose & I & family extend our sincere condolences in the passing of your husband/father. Uncle Jim loved his family and instinctively demonstrated his love of his Catholic faith through his daily words, deeds and actions. Be it of consolation to all that through your prayer, he will intervene through the Lord to oversee and grant you your earthly petitions. As on earth, he’ll not forsake you in heaven.

Kind, compassionate & loving to all, Uncle Jim couldn’t have known the meaning of “social distancing”. He had the unique quality of instantly connecting with anyone, on any level. It didn’t matter if one were a CEO or a housekeeper, once he locked eyes on you, smiled at you, affirmed his greeting with a firm handshake or strong bear hug.he left no doubt in ones mind that he loved you, & that you had his undivided attention. His reassuring voice would resonate with conviction, emotion and happiness, leaving one to feel like a million dollars after talking with him.

Our temporary earthly loss is heaven’s eternal gain, and in that belief, as per our faith, we’ve all the hope to meet again. His earthly journey and burdens past, I have to think that somewhere in Heaven, his sister Doris has a large shelter house reserved with all of his siblings & friends in cue, long awaiting his arrival, teeming & replete with a food buffet, joy and merriment unknowns. We can all revel in the happiness of knowing that uncle Jim, now reunited, is rejoicing along with all of his siblings and those who’ve preceded him, having achieved his earthly sought goal, eternal life in heaven, with God the Father.

Eternal rest grants unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

Vince & Rose Wessling

Uncle JIm was always so sweet and loving. I remember as a little girl him coming and staying with us on 75th. I looked so forward to him coming to visit and will never forget how kind he was to me. He was such an interesting man talking about his travels when I was older and we would compare our trips to various places. Most of all I know how much he loved God and his family. Rest In Peace dear man. You are truly loved and missed.
