Jane Kroll Obituary

Jane E. Kroll, passed away Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, in Lawrence. She was born in Collinsville, Ill., the daughter of Ralph and Elsie Cornwell. She grew up in Gridley, Ill., and graduated from Gridley High School. She received her nursing diploma from St. Luke's School of Nursing in Chicago. She moved to Topeka in 1957, where she lived until this year. She was an active member of First Congregational Church in Topeka and participated in a variety of community activities. She married Harry G. Kroll in 1951. He died in 2002. Survivors include two sons, David Kroll, North Glenn, Colo., and Paul Kroll, Minneapolis, Minn.; a daughter, Linda Gutierrez, Lawrence; a sister, Evelyn Grace, Gridley, Ill.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many wonderful friends. Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2004, at First Congregational Church in Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made to First Congregational Church, 1701 S. W. Collins, Topeka, 66604. Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.penwellgabel.com .
