Krystal Jim Obituary
Krystal Lee Goodspeed/Jim, 33, passed away unexpectedly from complications related to asthma on June 22, 2019. She was born November 2, 1986 in Manhattan, KS, and resided in Eskridge, KS at the time of her death. She married Russell Jim in the summer of 2012 and had 5 children: Alex, 9, Brooklynn, 6, Abbi, 4, Brionna, 3, and Abel, 2.
Krystal enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. She was always involved with her children and her dog, Lenny. Krystal constantly had a smile on her face and could brighten anyone's day with her great sense of humor. She is loved dearly and will be missed by all she came to know in life.
She is survived by her husband, Russell, and 5 children, of the home; mother, Brooke Owens; brothers, Kelsey and Justin Goodspeed; and a number of other loving relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Gary Goodspeed; grandparents, Donald and Patricia Goodspeed and Albert and Lois Creamer; and uncles Charlie Seymour and Mike Jim.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, July 28th at 2 p.m. at Lake Shawnee Shelter #2, 3410 SE Leisure Ln., Topeka, KS 66605. In lieu of flowers, donations to benefit the children can be made to Russell Jim or Kelsey McGinley and sent to Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple Street, St. Marys, KS, 66536.

Growing up with Krystal being my best friend, was my happiest childhood memories in life. She will always be cherished by me in life, & has always been such a important part of who I was, am, & will be. She has given me so much more than just friendship & I am forever grateful & blessed to have had the chance to have been a part of her life. I hope everyone has taken the time to realize that you can't take your life here for granted. We are not to think our time here is promised. With the blink of an eye, our time, or a loved ones time on this Earth could be gone. Krystal's time it seems was over far too soon. She has touched many people's lives beyond ever being able to forget her. She was such a kind soul with lots of love to be shared with every person she came to know. My heart is broken knowing I will not get to see her face or hear her voice again in life too. I would have gladly taken her place if God would let me just to know her babies could still be with her... Let her memories live on forever in the hearts of the many loved ones who were blessed with her in life. Don't ever think she doesn't know how much we love & miss her becuz she is watching, waiting, & gonna be right there that very moment when our time here is done also. To welcome us into the eternity of pain free, & loss free heaven our Lord has promised us. She would want nothing more for us but to be strong, keep our heads held high, & not ever to give up on happiness no matter how weak we may feel. My heart goes out to all Krystal's family & loved ones in hopes of you finding peace with the loss of her beautiful heart & soul. She is & always will be considered not only my best friend but also my family too. She will never be forgotten as long as this world is still here. I will miss you Krystal Lee. Until we meet again, you are a beautiful guardian angel, watching over everyone you hold close to your heart! Justin, Kelsey, Russell, Brooke, & her beautiful 5 children are in my thoughts & prayers always. Know I'm here if you need anything at all. This is hard & I feel your pain completely understand the hurting your hearts are enduring right now. Be strong & stay close to each other. Missing her will not get any easier in life. But she is with us forever, regardless of how alone we may feel at times. She loves you all & always will no matter what.

Dear Goodspeed and Jim families, I am so sorry about the great sudden loss of your daughter, wife and mother. I cannot even begin to imagine what you all are going through right now. All I can do is pray for you and your families that God would bring some kind of comfort and peace to you and help you in caring for your children that are in great need of their mother. I wish there was something else I could do for you.
