Lois Purvis Lois Purvis, 54, of Topeka passed away on November 2, 2015 at Midland Hospice in Topeka. She was born July 2, 1961 at Emporia the daughter of David A. and Nina M. Ball Rife. She was raised in Reading and graduated from Emporia High School. On December 24, 1994 she was married to Randy Purvis in Emporia. Lois had lived in Topeka since that time. She loved Chocolate, reading and writing, movies. Included in her favorite movies are Ghost and It s A Wonderful Life Survivors include her husband Randy Purvis of Topeka; mother, Nina Morrow of Emporia; children, Wesley Lewis of Topeka and Thomas, Rick and Joseph; brothers, David Rife of Butler, Mo and Clinton Rife of Emporia; sister, Mary Morrow of Emporia and a grandchild, Kiamoni Lewis. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints at 2401 SW Kingsrow on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. The family will receive friends from noon until service time at the church. Interment will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Research Foundation in care of Davidson Funeral Home.

I was so sorry to learn of Lois's death when I visited Ruth today. She was a sweet lady to visit, and Ruth was lucky to have her as a roommate.
