Belva & the Wellman Family--
I am so sorry for your loss and I know words will never convey the sympathy I feel for you. Danielle & Chris I also lost my mother at a young age. Time doesn't take away the pain but a wise man once told me time would help those bitter sweet memories become just sweet ones. Hold onto them because they are more valuable then you'll ever know. Belva, what can I say. I can only imagine the pain of losing a child. We are all here for you. Whether to talk, laugh or cry. Don't be afraid to rely on your friends. May God be with you all. I will always remember Lori as a woman who was VERY proud of her children and their wonderful accomplishments, loved KU Basketball and was always reading a book. I enjoyed working with Lori this past year in the Legal Division and talking to her on a daily basis about KU, books, TV programs, and, of course, her children. My deepest sympathies go out to her family and I hope the many wonderful memories you have of her bring you comfort and joy in this time of pain.

Danielle (i.e.Blue),
If you need anything you let Nicholas or I know and we will do what ever we can. You are in our daily prayers. Remember it is at this time that there is only one set of footprints in the sand. For if God brings you to it, he will bring you through it. So he will carry you until you can make it on your own again. God bless you and your family.

No words can express how very sorry I am. Lori was a wonderful person! One of the things I will always remember is Lori taking her breaks-- speed walking and reading at the same time. Dear Wellman Family,
I was very sad to hear of Lori's passing. I can remember back when my son's were first involved in sports at Jeff West. Lori and her Mother were always there to support all the Teams. She was a graduate of Perry but she was now a Tiger and was always there for the kids.It was great to see someone support the kids that didn't even have children old enough to be in school sports yet. She was really there for the kids.
Jeff West will miss her love and support.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.
Sincerely, John McArthur
