To the Ditch family. I am sorry to hear about Mike. Mike and I went to school together since the first grade. Every time I thought about Mike last weekend two stories kept coming to my mind. These stories I would like to share with you and hope you get a laugh and help comfort during this difficult time.

We were over at Gage Bowl North after our youth league had finished one Saturday and decided to bowl a few extra games. We'll we started messing around with this stuff called firm grip. Mike must have put on a little too much—being left handed Mike set up on the left side of the lane—He took his approach and was getting ready to let go of the ball but it stuck on his thumb. Instead of releasing the ball the ball's momentum made him lose his balance and he slid on his back pass the foul line into the right gutter. With the ball still in his hand it came down and hit him in the head. You should have seen the look on this face.

That was one of the two greatest things I seen at Gage North. The other would be involving Mike as well. When we were in high school we had bowling class together. We usually had time for one game with not much warm-up. It was nothing for Mike to shoot 270-285. The pins would just explode. He was truly a great bowler and friend.

Mike was a great guy and he will be greatly missed.

To all the Ditch Family,

I knew Mike through bowling. I was the person he won the Gardner Tournament against.

We hadn't stayed in touch but I remember the years married to Jody as Mike and Jamie were growing up to be his pride and joy.

His smile was a joy to see.

I'm thinking about you all and offer my prayers.

Extra special thoughts for those I have directly known in my life: Mike, Jamie, Jody, Rocky and Lisa.

God Bless and cherish the memories.

I'm very saddened to hear about Mike's passing. Mike and I grew up together and were great friends for many years. Along with Dan Lawson we were together a lot in our early years bowling and just hanging out at each others house. Although Mike and I lost touch in our adult lives I will always remember him as a great friend. My heart felt sympathy to the Ditch family. Ive lost a great old friend.
