Marlon:

When Monica Rodriguez told me about Jackie's passing, I was saddened and surprised. It was only a couple of weeks ago that Paul Noriega told me that he and Jackie had spoken at their
dialysis center. I will always remember Jackie as a kind and decent man, and as a handsome, athletic young man that I had the privilege of growing up with and calling a friend. I am so happy that I put a couple of his photos in the Bottoms book. Someone once said that a person really never dies so long as someone remembers them. I believe that, and so long as I live, Jackie will have a place in my memory. Stay well old friend. Hope to see you next time I am in Topeka. With great affection.
