Shawn Burke Obituary

Shawn Burke Shawn Burke, son of Edwin A. Burke and Carol Ritzel Nider, peacefully lost his life to cancer Aug. 10, 2017. Shawn was surrounded by the love of his wife and family. As you can imagine, our hearts are broken by the tremendous loss of our husband, brother, grandfather, and father. Shawn's spirit lives on in all those who loved him and he is survived by his wife, Paula, son Tanner (Brittney) Burke, son Corben Burke, amazing granddaughter, Olivia Burke, brother Michael (Lynn) Burke and sister Denice (Michael) Dreyer.

We are truly honored to have gone through this journey with Shawn. Now at complete peace, Shawn will be remembered with love and for his compassion, energy for life and unequaled kindness. Those who knew him, share the loss of a good man who was passionate about theater, classic cars, fast cars, BBQ and blues. He touched the lives of many as 'Cool' Uncle Shawn, a beep baseball competitor, a builder of grain bins and for the last twenty years, a self-employed vendor.

Although Shawn requested that no funeral services be held, for those that wish to remember Shawn, please pay something forward or perhaps make a donation to your favorite charity in honor of Shawn.
