Una Mae Swanson

Una Mae Swanson, 85, Topeka, passed away Friday, Oct. 15, 2004. She was born Feb. 10, 1919, at Chillicothe, Mo., the daughter of Albert and Lena Chappel Plants. She married Roland F. Swanson on May 29, 1935, at Leavenworth. He preceded her in death Sept. 5, 2001. Survivors include her son, Roland Swanson and his wife, Karen, Tecumseh; two daughters, Sylvia Farmer and her husband, Don, Topeka, and Mary Steir and her husband, Harvey, West Simsbury, Conn.; grandchildren Donnie and Deana Farmer, Bryce and Blake Swanson, Michele Denning, and her husband, Roger, and Katherine Steir; and great-grandchildren Kyle Farmer and Lila Denning. Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, at Countryside United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be given to the Topeka Rescue Mission, 600 N.
