Sheryl, I read about Bill in my Mom's Lakin Independent. We have not talked for a long time, but I still remember you and your family. My heart breaks to know that you have lost your husband of so many years. My thoughts are with you.

Sheryl, When I saw the news about Bill this morning, I was shocked and saddened. Although we didn't stay in touch as adults, I will always cherish the memories with Bill and "The Vincents" when we were young. His family was always so good to me.

Sorry to read in the paper of Bill's death. I worked with him in the old Sabatini firms on 7th St. and Topeka Blvd. He was a great atty - compassionate and understanding of his clients. We also enjoyed his sense of humor around the office.

Sheryl. Billy was magical in the eyes of a 7-year-old girl back in the 70s. I fondly remember many dinners at your home where Bill was laughing and telling jokes. He always made my brother Tim and me feel so valued, even though we were just little kids at the time. To this day, when Tim and I eat barbecued potato chips (the other constant at your home besides Bill laughing) we discuss our wonderful memories of you and Bill. Bill was a valuable member of the board for The Legal Aid Society of Topeka when I worked there in 1972 and 1973. He came by the office frequently and provided guidance to the young Legal Aid attorneys working there under Roger McCollister, my first boss after KU Law School. Bill will long be remembered because he cared for so many others in the legal profession.

Bill was a good lawyer, professional but reasonable, enjoyable as a professional friend and I am sadden to learn of his passing. Too soon, too young. RIP.
