Franky Joe Snyder, 48, of Stanton, the son of Alton E. and Shirley (Page) Snyder, was born October 31, 1959 in Red Oak, Iowa. He died on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at the Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident at the age of 48 years, 9 months and 5 days.
Frank was raised in Red Oak and graduated from Red Oak High School in 1979. Following high school, he attended Southwestern Community College and Iowa Western Community College. Frank was united in marriage to Julie Ann Boseck on October 22, 1983 in Griswold, Iowa.
They made their home in Red Oak for 15 years. In 1998, the family moved to Stanton. Frank had been employed the past 10 years as an Electro Mechanical Tech for NSK in Clarinda, Iowa. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and loved "being on the river". Frank especially had fun on each Halloween, which was also his birthday. He had a caring spirit and was always lending a helping hand to anyone in need. Frank treasured his family dearly and was a loving husband, father, son and brother. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Frank is survived by his wife: Julie Snyder of Stanton; daughter: Holly Snyder of Stanton; son: Cody Snyder of Stanton; parents: Alton and Shirley Snyder of Red Oak; brothers: Mark Snyder and wife Krystalle and their children, Sara & Josie of Red Oak; John Snyder and partner Miles Berger of San Francisco, Calif.; Terry Snyder and wife Kelly and their son, Nolan of Red Oak; mother-in-law: Sue Andersen and husband John of Kimballton; father-in-law: Ron Boseck; sisters-in-law: Brooke Inman and husband Bryan and their children, Curtis and Ashley of Mason City; and April Forsythe and husband James and their son, Alexander of San Rafael, Calif.; grandmother-in-law: Rita Morton of Elk Horn, formerly of Griswold; special friend who's like a brother: Brian Page of Red Oak; special friends; James and Deb Helm and family of Stanton; aunts, uncles, cousins along with other relatives and a host of friends.
"May all the tears that flow from you now bring forth a meadow of memories of the one you love". Visitation with the family was held prior to the funeral service on Friday, August 8, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home
