Amy Billman Obituary

Amy Louise Green Billman

Brandon - Amy Louise Green Billman, 44, died peacefully at home on April 30, 2021. She was born August 23, 1976 in Jackson, Mississippi, the daughter of Bert and Rhonda Green.

Amy graduated from Woodland Hills Baptist Academy, class of 1995. She attended Mississippi State University.

Amy's main love and her number one focus was her family, especially her children, and it was always her privilege to serve as team mom for their many activities. She had a gift for making everyone she met feel special and she always lit up any room she entered. Amy was exceedingly beautiful, inside and out. Amy loved big and hard, and her friends and family felt it. She was a devoted wife of 15 years to Ray, and their love for music fueled their wonderful times together. Amy's walk with Jesus has brought her peace. He comforted and strengthened her during each stage of her life, which gives her family joy, knowing she is now with Him for eternity.

Amy is survived by her husband, US Army Major Rayman Henry Billman, her children Simon Stone Billman, Aden Faver Powers and Greenlee Ray Billman; her parents Bert and Rhonda Green; her siblings Claire (Lewis) Ridgway, and Bert (Amanda) Green and her beloved nephews, Richard Lewis, Jack and Faver Ridgway, and nieces, Presly and Mamie Green, and her many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Carmen Green of Jackson and Lannis "Buster" and Betty Jo Plummer of Canton, MS and her cherished four-legged companion, Blaze.

A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Jackson. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The University of Mississippi Medical Center earmarked for Transplant Care. htttps://www.umc.edu/Office_of_Development/GiveNow.html

I was so sad to hear about the passing of Sweet Amy. Amy and I were room mates one summer at French Camp. She was the best room mate I ever had. She was so funny and always lit up a room with her smile and laugh. I can still hear that laugh!! She will be missed! I have so many wonderful memories of Amy. May God comfort her dear family during this time. You all are in my prayers.
