Jackson

Andrew David Rivers, 24, passed away March 22, 2012 in Jackson. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00am, Saturday March 31, 2012 at New Jerusalem Church, Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation is Friday from 8:00 until 8:00pm at Westhaven Funeral Home. The interment will follow at Garden Memorial Park Cemetery in Jackson, Mississippi.

To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Kim, you are in my prayers. I can't begin to put words together to comfort you. I remember the times when we were going to class at Jackson State, and we would drop Andrew off at his father's house. You always would tell him; "Be good Andrew, I love you!" He would turn around and smile the same way you would. Remember those smiles and all of those hugs that he gave for 24 years. I can't tell you that I understand because I don't have a child. I can't tell you that it's going to be alright because I have never walked in your shoes. I can't tell you that it will feel better tomorrow because only time and God heals all wounds and broken hearts. What I can tell you is that God will give you the grace to get through every moment, second, minute, and hour. HE will comfort you in the times when you seem like you can't make, take, or deal with the reality of it all. HE will be your peace in the midst of everyting that you are going through.
