Billy Lamar Craft

Raleigh

Billy Lamar Craft, 67, passed away April 29, 2011 at home surrounded by family. Visitation will be Saturday afternoon from 5:00 - 8:00PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Raleigh, MS. Funeral services are 2:00PM Sunday at the funeral home, with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will be at Double Church cemetery. Rev. Joe Hanna, Rev. B.B. Watson and Rev. Jeff Myers will officiate the services. Colonial Chapel in Raleigh is handling the arrangements 601-782-4544.

Billy was born on August 24, 1943 to the late W. L. and Christine Hollingsworth Craft. He was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church. He was the superintendent for Acoustics, Inc. for 45 years, and co-owner of L. C. Industries, LLC. After retirement he enjoyed country life on the family farm.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Dwight Craft.

Survivors include his wife and best friend Lexie Barnes Craft; children: Kristen Nicole Poarch (Brad) of Madison, MS, Tony Lamar Craft (Tammy), Vincent Todd Craft, Terry Wilson Craft (Ella) all of Florence, MS, Billy Edward Craft (Leah) of Orlando, FL, Bradley Austin Craft of Raleigh, MS; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; one sister Joyce Carr (David) of Pearl, MS and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers: Wayne Thornton, Chris Murphy, Doug Thornton, Brance Boykin, Tom Craft, David Rudolph Craft.
