Catherine Rebecca Alford Marler, 41, died Sunday, May 8, 2016, at Hospice Ministries. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2016, at St. Richard Catholic Church with burial following in Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland and will continue at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Catherine was born on March 5, 1975 in Jackson. She was a loving and dedicated mother, who cherished spending time with her children. Catherine was known for her loving and kind spirit and especially for her generosity for others. She was an amazing mechanic, having the ability for fixing and installing just about anything. Catherine loved music and art, particularly drawing.

She was a faithful communicant of St. Richard Catholic Church.

Catherine was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Ann Munroe.

Survivors include her loving husband and best friend, Eric Andrew Marler of Richland; her loving children, Catherine Carol Griffin of Richland; Christian Courtney Griffin of Pearl; Andrew Patrick Marler of Richland; Alora Celeste Marler of Richland; Alyssa Grace Marler of Richland; her father, Frank Alford; her sister, Carrie Spratley of Richland; her half sister, Lisa Cavanaugh of Florence; her uncle and aunt, Robert and Nancy Munroe of Jackson; her father-in-law, Jerry Marler of Brandon; David Marler of Richland and many loving family and friends.
