Forest, MS
Celeste Shirley, age 80, a resident of Forest, MS passed away on Wednesday September 9, 2015 at Lackey Memorial Hospital in Forest, MS. Visitation will be held on Friday September 11, 2015 from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Saturday September 12, 2015 from 10:00 AM until 10:50 AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday September 12, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Wolf Funeral Services. Burial will follow in the Lorena Baptist Cemetery in Forest, MS. Officiating will be Bro. Ed Knowles, Bro. Curtis Roland and Bro. Doyle Boyles. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Shirley had lived in Lorena, MS since 1982, formerly living in Jackson, MS. She was a member of the East Forest Baptist Church in Forest, MS. She loved quilting with the ladies of her church. Mrs. Shirley was a former member of the Harvest Quartet and the Voices of Praise.
Mrs. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Shirley in 2002. She is survived by three sons, James Andrew Shirley of Jackson, MS, Fred Douglas Shirley and wife, Jolynn of Clinton, MS, Christopher Dietrich Shirley and wife, Ginny of Forest, MS; one sister, Sarah Cathrine Petrie and husband, Charles of Bushnell, FL; seven grandchildren, Caitlyne, Alexx, Sarah,Taylor, Nicholas, Alana and Haley.
Pallbearers are Andy Shirley, Fred Shirley, Chris Shirley, Sam Shirley, Mickey Shirley, James Petrie. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Petrie, Justin Miles.
