Ridgeland
Mrs. Clara Dean Richards, 91, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012,at the Baptist Medical Center, Jackson, Mississippi. She was a native of Florence, Alabama, having moved to Jackson, MS in 1950, and to the Waterford in Ridgeland, MS in 2008.
Clara Dean was a past matron of the Cypress Chapter Order of Eastern Star in Florence, AL. While living in Jackson, MS, she was a Charter Member of Broadmoor Baptist Church, a member of the Joy Singers while at Broadmoor,a member of Faith Baptist Church, and Secretary and Board member of Path, Inc. Bible Study Classes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wylie E. Richards, Sr. and brother, James E. Hill.
Survivors include: son, Wylie E. Richards, Jr., Oxford, MS; daughter, Nancy R. Carter, Ridgeland, MS; grandson, Jason E. Richards (Kim), Tucson, AZ;
granddaughter, Dr. Laura R.Vick (Ken), Madison, MS; and four great-grandchildren.The family will be having a private memorial service. Donations may be made to the Oxford University United Methodist Church, Oxford, MS, or to the charity of your choice.
