Dora Faye Bresnahan McDaniel, 81, died Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Baptist Hospital surrounded by family. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 18, 2015 at Colonial Heights Baptist Church with burial following in Jessamine Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland and will continue at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the church.

"Miss Faye" as she was affectionately known, was born on September 27, 1934, in Gordo, AL; the daughter of the late, Frank and Eloise Bresnahan. A graduate of Gordo High School, she was a resident of the Jackson Metropolitan Area for over 60 years. Upon moving to Jackson, she began working for the Mississippi Highway Patrol beginning her career in communications at MHP and worked at many agencies to then retire from Ridgeland PD.

She was a faithful christian and her faith showed throughout her life. "Miss Faye" cherished spending time with her family and grandchildren. She will most be remembered for mentoring and training of many in her field and for her love and passion for her police.

She is survived by son, James McDaniel of Ridgeland; daughter, Frankie McDaniel of Pearl; daughter, Patti Munson of Ridgeland; grandchildren, Shaun McDaniel and wife, Beth of Pearl; Jonae Voyles and husband, Devin of Jonesboro, AR; Teri Guererro and husband, Oz of Alvin, TX; James Munson of Brandon; Landon McDaniel and wife, Tiffany of La Plaz, LA; great grandchildren; Marcie and Clayton McDaniel; Aubrey, Reece and Emily Voyles; Abigail and Rebekah Guererro; Gabriel and Isaiah Munson and Abigail McDaniel. She is also survived by sister, Mary Clemmons; brother, Tony Bresnahan and wife, Fostine, sister, Nora Mae Sullivan and husband, Leslie; brother, Ed Bresnahan and wife, Betty all of AL and many nieces and nephews.
