Our deepest sympathy to the Williams family and all of her loved ones. Everything that Doris was involvd in she did all out of the kindness of her heart because she believed in everything she did. If everyone could share just a small piece of her in their hearts we all would be able to accomplish and continue the things she did. This would be a grand world if we did so. May everyone keep her and all her loved ones in their prayers and thoughts at their time of sorrow. Thank you for sharing your kindness, and thoughts with me.It has made me a better person. May God hold you in his arms in glory, and may we all carry such attributes as you set. May this world have peace. And everyone blessed if we all live our life as you did.

We first met Virgil & Doris Williams when they attended our South Dakota National Guard Enlisted Association Convention held in Lead, SD in May, 1970; they attended the SD National Guard Enlisted Assn. Convention the following year in 1971 in Huron, SD and in May 1972 when our town of Yankton, SD hosted the State Conference, Virgil came alone as Doris was pregnant with their last child and unable to travel. At that conference, our SD Auxiliary made Doris an honorary member of our Auxiliary. Virgil was one of the founders of the Enlisted Assn. of the National Guard of the United States and my husband, Donavon List, as Vice-President of the SD Enlisted Assn. 1970-71 and President in 1972, was also involved in founding the National Enlisted Assn. so we have been friends for 37 years. I have served with Doris since probably 1994, on the Scholarship Committee and enjoyed working with her and also her friendship. She was an asset to the National Auxiliary and I always looked forward to seeing & visiting with her. When we said our good-byes last August in Salt Lake City, UT her last words to me were "I love you"; I shall remember that. We will miss her in August in Oklahoma City, OK but know she will be watching over us. God Bless Doris' family at this difficult time.

To the Doris Williams Family - Glen, Sharon and Tricia. I am thinking of each of you at this time. I know how much you will miss your mother. She certainly exemplified the meaning of that word. It was apparent how much she loved each of you and your children. The last time I saw her at The New Journey Luncheon she had Tricia's baby in her arms. With much sympathy,
