Eileen Colopy Merrill

Eileen Colopy Merrill, 91, passed away surrounded by family. Her children Richard Merrill (IL), Karen Merrill (David Ledbetter) (MI), and Scott Merrill (MS) and her sister, Jean Kroeger of Ohio, will miss her greatly. Her grandchildren, Jessica Lane (Lloyd) (MS), Katie Messing (Tim) (IL) and Cale Merrill (Nikki) MS are also saddened at her passing. Eileen was Gigi to Averie and Brayden Lane and Elliot, Emmett, and Alex Messing.

Eileen was born in Mt. Vernon, OH and grew up in Akron where she met her husband, Cale Merrill. They moved to Detroit, MI where he began his career with Vickers. In 1975 Eileen, Cale and Scott relocated to the Vickers Jackson, MS plant. She was affectionately called Yankee by many of her friends. Eileen enjoyed playing bridge, shopping, and being with her family. She traveled extensively over the years and enjoyed socializing. Her immediate family shared a meal and a Manhattan in her memory.

On November 4th Eileen was reunited with Cale; parents, Mary (Colopy) Jacobs and James Colopy; brother, Jim Colopy; daughter-in law, Irene, granddaughter, Sabrina; nephew, Jimmy Colopy, and many friends and relatives.
